Dr. Farzaneh Rostami - Your D.C. Oral Surgeon
Dr. Rostami is extensively trained not only as a dental surgeon but also as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. An oral and maxillofacial surgeon focuses on treating problems and injuries of both the hard and soft tissues of the face, mouth, jaws and neck. Soft tissues would include skin, muscle and gums and hard tissue refers to bone. This type of surgeon also receives training in different types of anesthesia so they can offer patients sedation or general anesthesia if it is needed. Dr. Rostami graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University where she was honored by appearing on the Dean’s List, and then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery at the same university, graduating summa cum laude. She expanded her focus into oral and maxillofacial surgery during her post-graduate training at the university’s Medical College of Virginia.
